I'm Phillip Dougherty, a forward-deployed engineer. I work directly with businesses to turn real operational problems into working AI applications.

I’ve been building in AI for more than six years—before ChatGPT made it a household conversation. That work includes developing and deploying AI agents for enterprise organizations, including Fortune 500 companies.

I still work with large corporations today. DU brings that same hands-on experience to your business, without the distance between the person making the promises and the person writing the code.

Is this just chatbots and phone agents?

No. Conversational AI is one option, not the whole offer. We also build backend workflows, document-processing tools, integrations, internal applications, and reporting systems. Much of the best work happens where your customers never see it.

Do I need to replace the tools we already use?

Not necessarily. We start with your existing workflow and check what your tools can support. Connecting what you have is often a better starting point than replacing everything.

What if a simpler solution would work?

Then that is what we should build. A straightforward integration or a small software change can sometimes solve the problem without AI. The goal is less friction in your business, not more technology.

What does it cost?

Scope comes first. After we understand your challenge, we can discuss the approach, what is included, and pricing before any work begins. There is no one-size-fits-all package to push you into.

How do you approach sensitive business data?
